the big can of worms.

Cam and Duncan discovered a new game today. Using an old Asparagus rubber band to snap at each other. (Boys!)

Later that night, Cam called Olivia over to play as well. I warned him as I walked by, here's the scene:

Cam: Hey Liv, come try this.
Liv: Try what?
Mel: Cam, you're going to open one big can of worms...
Cam: You hold the rubber band and walk away, and hold it tight!
Liv: OH! Okay!

Liv grabs ahold of the rubber band and walks, he let's go and it snaps her. Both the kids giggle.

Meanwhile, I'm flossing in the bathroom, we had corn on the cob tonight with our Dutch Oven dinner.

Cam: K, Liv, do it again.
She does. They giggle.

And suddenly, Liv starts bawling. Somehow it accidentally snapped next to her face and she's screaming for no one to touch her, etc. The NORMAL 4-year-old response, right? UGH.

I calmly finish my flossing, and walk out to survey the area. My response to the whole situation:

Mel: Hey Cam, can I have the can opener now that you're finished with it? ;D
